Uzbekistan terror suspect, DUIs dismissed, Honduran pleads guilty in fatal hit-and-run

The Denver Crimes Thursday June 29, 2017 email newsletter.

Hi Thursday readers, it's the Denver Post Crimes weekly email newsletter and it's back in your inbox (Did a friend forward this to you? Sign up for yourself over here). How have you been? I've been good, on vacation, spent some time on Ride The Rockies, thanks for asking. It's been a little bit since the last update which means, yes, we've got some ground to cover.

We had a rough month here at Denver Post Crimes: There were extended outages on the DPD's reported crime spreadsheet, followed by a format change on the spreadsheet which meant rewriting chunks of the crime report ingestion, in addition to some extensive debugging and sleuthing before putting together the fixes necessary to get Denver's crime map back up and running.

So the good news: That's in the past. R.I.P. June. Bring it, July.
